Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or Mgahinga National Park (Approx. 8–10 hours)

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your Kampala hotel, around 6:30–7:00 AM. Depart westward toward the southwestern part of Uganda, enjoying the scenic countryside along the way, passing through rolling hills, tea and coffee plantations, and small rural villages.

En route, you may stop for refreshments or photographs of the stunning landscape. Continue driving toward the remote gorilla habitats located near Uganda’s borders with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Depending on permit availability, you will be transferred to either Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Arrive at your lodge or campsite in the afternoon, check-in, and enjoy lunch. In the late afternoon, you may explore nearby trails or relax at the lodge, taking in the forest views and birdlife. Dinner is served at your accommodation, followed by an overnight stay in preparation for the gorilla trekking the following day.

Days 2 & 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi or Mgahinga (Approx. 4–8 hours per trek)

The trekking duration can range from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla families assigned by park authorities.

Trek through dense rainforest trails, crossing streams, climbing hills, and moving along moss-covered paths while listening to the sounds of the forest and spotting birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Once you reach the gorilla family, you will have one hour of close-up observation, allowing you to photograph these magnificent creatures as they feed, play, and interact.

Return to the lodge for lunch, then in the afternoon, relax or explore nearby trails and communities. Dinner and overnight stay are provided at your accommodation.
